The Epson XP-200 is a specifically compact printer, the smallest we evaluated in our roundup by fairly a margin, at 390 x 300 x 145mm. Epson markets it as a ‘Small-in-One.’ Though the term is corny enough to categorize as food items, it is quite appropriate. If you have a limited desk area, like every home office or computer area I’ve ever had, do not undervalue the benefit of a little printer that will sit silently off the beaten track.
Colour ink prices are about 41 cents per page (a complete set is $68). You can reduce this significantly by using Epson’s high-capacity ink cartridges, nevertheless. Those have an ahead of time cost of $136, yet a much lower per-page price of around 29 cents. Print rate is a little unsatisfactory at 7.1 web pages per min for black and white text and line-art, 5 pages per minute for black and white graphics. Epson Xp-200 Performance
The Epson XP-200 printer top quality is exceptionally sharp and clear, for a $100 printer. Mainly, the picture prints quickly take on those generated by printers setting you back $150-$200. Though the high intensity and the absence of any banding, color artifacts, or roller-marks all contribute to the printer’s high quality, the most significant factor in our tests was color precision.

Prints from the XP-200 look favorably desaturated in contrast to its competitors– and those prints look ideal. It demonstrates how typical oversaturation is in home picture printing when one design stands over the rest and risks to show natural colors. It might not look as shiny or brilliant, but it seems actual. If you want unnaturally intense hue, you can attain it with the Epson XP-200 modify the color in your photo editing and enhancing application, or in the printer’s setups.
Scan high quality is admirable, otherwise best-in-class. Speeds are excellent, at merely 11 seconds for a quick 300 DPI mono scan (think financial institution declarations), 41 secs for a color page at 600 DPI, and 2 mins 26 secs for a color page at the ridiculously-detailed 1200 DPI.
